We always need more soccer coaches, but especially in the 2nd/3rd grade grouping. If you know anyone in your circle that would be able to coach this age group, please have them contact us through phone or email.
If you are interested in volunteer coaching and have not already coached with Gate City Youth Sports before, we will need to complete a background check. When doing a background check, we often ask if you have recently had a background check, and will ask you your place of employment. We have many volunteer coaches who are employed with Pocatello/Chubbuck SD25, Idaho State University, the medical field, or are involved in emergency services and will accept those background checks. The reason we do background checks is to make sure we have the best coaches around your kids!

Parents, did you know that 7 states have sanctioned Girls' Flag Football at the High School level? Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and New York all have girls' flag football as a high school sport. We would love to have more girls in our league!
Registration closes April 19th
3 X 3 Blacktop basketball starts after T-ball and Soccer and is 5 weeks long. Games are played outside at Alameda Middle School.
We divide the teams into co-ed age/grade level groups.
3 X 3 BB: 3rd & 4th; 5th & 6th; 7th & 8th
The teams of 3 change every week. This may seem confusing, but our plan is to get your child to play with multiple players throughout our season. Our hope is that your child will develop their basketball skills by having to adapt week to week, that they will see the game from different points of view, and that they will make a bunch of friends! You can still request a friend and we will ensure you get to play with them at least twice.
We practice on Tuesdays from 6 - 7:30 pm at Alameda Middle School. The first half of practice is a whole group practice where everyone works on dribbling, passing, and rebounding. Please have your child bring a ball to this practice. The second half of practice will be with the group of 3 that will be playing together for that week.
The first practice will be May 12th. The first game will be Saturday, May 16th. (the games for the 2nd week will be moved to Friday night for Memorial Day weekend). The last game will be June 13th. Parents will be emailed more information by May 8th.
Registration closes April 19th
SUMMER SPORTS
TRACK & FIELD - The season will start after the 4th of July and is 5 weeks long. Registration is open to K through 8th grade. Each week, athletes will work on two skills - a track and a field event (i.e. run the 100 and long jump)
We will have coaches there to teach the fundamental skills. We need help from parents and/or older siblings to keep kids in groups and take their times/distances at both practice and the meets. Please plan on helping at the meets.
The practices are being run later in the evening to avoid the summer heat. Last year we started at 7:30 PM. Practice times will be mid-week and the meets will be on Thursday nights. A set time will be posted once the coaches know their availability. Please send your child with water and shoes that are suitable for running every practice and meet. No cleats, spikes, flip-flops, crocs, or boots!
Location TBA
Registration closes July 1st
